Hello, there: I’m Jason Ward, a Glasgow-based freelance journalist and the Associate Editor of Oh Comely magazine.

My work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and online outlets including The Guardian, Little White Lies, Dazed, Curzon, The Simple Things, Hot Rum Cow, IPSE, White Noise and IdeasMag. I have also contributed to books including Movie Star Chronicles and 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. In May 2016 my first book Alice’s Puzzles: Through the Looking Glass was published by Carlton, and my second, Zombie Survival Puzzles, will be published in October 2017.

I graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Film and Television Production from the University of Westminster. It mostly taught me that Werner Herzog’s documentary The Great Ecstasy of Woodcarver Steiner exists, and for that I am grateful.

This is me, leaning against a wall for the Japanese magazine Popeye. It's a long story.
